Atlantic Walmart Supercenter

No complains for a free night. Management was good enough to allow us to stay. It was a quiet evening parked along the cemetery side by the road. Busy road early in the night but amazingly quiet after dark. 

Not sure if it was just because it was the weekend but I did not get a safe vibe here at all. Most of the “locals” didn’t look local but relocation’s from other states. The multiple low riders sporting graphics that didn’t fit the area and blasting heavy bass window vibrating music told me to move on since Walmart was the popular hangout. Oh and the guy who actually looked like a local beating a plastic baseball bat on his car didn’t help either. 

Safe.  Store is pretty small.  We wouldn't have made the trip off the interstate if we weren't pooped.

We stayed one night no problems. There were a few truckers there too.  Would definitely stay again. (Nice store also thank you Walmart)

Appreciate the stay it is a bit noisy I still had a decent night sleep. 

A short distance off the interstate. A few trucks and another rv there. Quiet with grassy area around for dogs.

No rowdy teens or loud cars for our visit. There were a lot of semis but we parked far enough away that noise wasn't an issue.  It was actually quite peaceful and pretty and I would highly recommend this stop!

The Walmart itself was clean with friendly staff.  Unfortunately this is Iowa in the middle of nowhere and apparently the meeting up place for everyone in town.  People drove loud motorcycles and trucks around, whilst revving their engines.  Also people were outside in the parking lot talking and being generally rude.  Also the next morning we noticed that another RV had apparently changed the oil in their truck and left household trash in a shopping cart.  What is even worse is the guy who did this had a teenaged child with them.  Not good to be teaching your kid such irresponsible behavior, this is part of the downfall in society today.  Please don’t do things like this you will end up ruining the kindness extended by Walmart in letting RV’s stay overnight.

Other than an occasional truck noise, we had a good night

The night we stopped there were a dozen or so cars of rowdy teens zipping around the 8 or more parked RVs, blaring music and ramming shopping carts across the lot with their cars. We finally left at 12:30, too nerve racking to get any sleep.
